On my dance, Fred Park’s Long Drive, it can, of course, be converted to a 32
bar dance by eliminating the B2 Rory O’More figure (something I considered).
But I think, with the recent passing of Fred, it would be appropriate not alter
it—at least for the next some period of time.
I seem to recall it was first called at Warren Wilson College. I was traveling
with the String Beings, and Fred appeared there after a long drive. He liked it.
Fred and I spent a number of nights staying up into the wee hours talking about
dances, teaching, and our lives. I miss him. Besides being a renown story
teller, as a dance caller and teacher, Fred was, among other things, a
choreographer, innovator, musician, historian, mentor, and friend. I miss him.

I could thus add a "See Also" reference to each card, so I could use whichever
sequence a band can accommodate.
