Everything seems to be correctly setup. What type of access gives user staff09
write access ? samba or webdav ? Are you sure you're connecting to the share as
staff09 and not another user ? Can you try to access the share from the command
line:
su -s /bin/bash staff09
ll /home/e-smith/files/shares/srcard/files
(don't post the results, I'm not interested in the files list, but just if you
get the actual list or a permission denied error)
Also, please post the result of
mount
