Date error is fine to be noted in the wiki, its one of those small things that
is easily fixed when it is documented..
Gallery works fine, probably better to just document, hiding errors may hide
something that needs to be seen..
Make the update a manual process, document it and users can sort it out. Better
to keep the install scripot as simple as possible.
Jumping from 1.4 to 1.8 is a very big step, so having parts to be done manually
is not such a big thing.
Concur with your ideas re where the rpms will reside..I don't think opensuse is
gpoing to go away any time soon and yes put the srpms away somewhere for safe
keeping is good insurance..
Everything seems to be working as it should, will be a excellent update for the
groupware contribs.
