You are right and moreover we have issues with the official internal usb backup
as john (from kerplouz) is affected by the bug 7932. Perhaps we could write a
script to do a backup with rsync (as you have already done), associated with
lat tools to restore all configuration from panel.

me too, but it is a huge piece of code...the rise and specific sme functions
are about 800 lines of code. However i have tried the rise function without
bug, my users can perform a login, but of course it was a VM with few users and
no data.

i want to read all bugs reports because sometime you have code attached but
nobody built it.
