Ok, so, the email is correctly being fetched and fed to your local SMTP server,
which accepts it, and transfered to the MTA (qmail). Then, fetchmail tries to
delete the email from the upstream POP server, and somehow, the connection is
dropped:

It's hard to tell you exactly what is droping the connexion, but it's not a
clamav related issue, and most likely not a fetchmail issue either. Looks like
something isn't working properly on the POP server.
Can you retrieve this mailbox using another POP3 client, and delete successfuly
this email ?
