good idea to backup mysql/mariadb of the software collection, just tried it
should work yes. Think also to create a user in each mysql version with minimal
permission to backup the databases.
However the DB are dumped with automysqlbackup which relies on mysqldump, it
seems to work but it could be done directly by the relevant mysqldump of each
SQL version and it should be a better solution but I do not know if the SQL
dump writing way has changed between the versions.
