I replied, but it seems to have not posted.
In short, Daniel has it correct.
We secure our network. Anyone with network access is allowed access to public
shares.
We view it this way. Our physical building is secured. We don't need to lock
bathrooms in order to keep people out. The outer doors do that.
Same thing.
