This has now been released into smecontribs, same version.
I built an SME last week using the above contrib & it worked outta the box;
note the wiki page hasn't been updated to indicate it's now in the smecontribs
repo.
When I ran the update script it gave no errors.
The os.conf file did not need to be updated with the values I used in my
initial report, they are all at default, namely:
clam_user="clamupdate"
clam_group="clamupdate"
clam_dbs="/var/lib/clamav"
clamd_pid="/var/run/clamd.scan/clamd.pid"
clamd_restart_opt="systemctl try-restart clamd@scan"
The fact that it works now seems to be due to the SME working environment being
updated with the vars required .. for example the clamupdate group now exists.
