--- Comment #2 from Reidar D. Midtun <[email protected]> ---
I changed email address to a local user on my server midtun.dyndns.org

 > config setprop automysqlbackup Mailto [email protected]
and then
 > signal-event smeserver-automysqlbackup-update

I then tried
 > /sbin/e-smith/runmysqlbackup -bc /etc/automysqlbackup/mymaria.conf
and
> /usr/local/bin/automysqlbackup -bc /etc/automysqlbackup/mymaria.conf

and verified that there is no new entries in /root/backup/db/status/

If I manually do
> automysqlbackup

I get a new file in /root/backup/db/status/

I checked the cron job log
> grep backup /var/log/cron
Jan 9 04:01:01 e-smith CROND[8042]: (root) CMD (/sbin/e-smith/runmysqlbackup
-bc /etc/automysqlbackup/mymaria.conf > /dev/null ; )
Jan 10 04:01:01 e-smith CROND[10478]: (root) CMD (/sbin/e-smith/runmysqlbackup
-bc /etc/automysqlbackup/mymaria.conf > /dev/null ; )
Jan 11 04:01:01 e-smith CROND[27387]: (root) CMD (/sbin/e-smith/runmysqlbackup
-bc /etc/automysqlbackup/mymaria.conf > /dev/null ; )

And see that the cron jobs have been executed, but without any resulting files.
