Don't do that. It will run a default configuration that is irrelevant.
I already told you what you needed to do.
Including these wasn't a good idea.
CONFIG_mysql_dump_password
CONFIG_encrypt_password
I'd check the wiki on how to change your root Maria DB password....
https://wiki.koozali.org/MySQL#Resetting_the_MySQL_root_password

Base Dir = /root/backup
For your configuration:
CONFIG_backup_dir=/root/backup/db_mymaria
That's where they are meant to go for that particular version of Maria DB
Maria 10.5 would go in /root/backup/db_mymaria_105
You can see that in the /etc/automysqlbackup/conf files under
"CONFIG_backup_dir"
Try
ll /root/backup/db_mymaria
Your bash output looks OK.
You should get an email with a backup log telling you what it did with a
subject like
"MySQL Backup Log for myserver - 2024-01-12_10h37m"
If you run as bash -x you should also get an email showing you all the steps it
took with a subject like
"ERRORS REPORTED: MySQL Backup error Log for myserver - 2024-01-12_10h37m"
Please read them and see what they say.
If needs be REMOVE any sensitive information like passwords and ATTACH them
here - don't paste as they are too long.
