Actually, as I recall, it was Stu's idea to have it in Houston.
Since Rob's not going to be back, we have three choices - concom meeting
without Rob on the original "how about 5/1" date, concom meeting with
Rob after he gets back (the 8th/9th), or both.
Chili Cookoff - insanely difficult to carry off correctly - would
probably require cooking in the parking lot, which would draw locals in
as well. Hotel wants to host banquet. HOWEVER.. If bug the hotel
early enough, we can probably get 'non-banquet' cuisine for the
banquet. Meaning, rather than the normal choices of "Steak or
Chicken?", we might be able to get lasagna or other fake italian food,
burgers, turkey, or whatever else.

Right around the corner from the hotel, off of Ben White.

Apparently Thursday night is "Full Auto" night at one of the ranges. If
we advertise it enough in advance, we might have 20-30 people willing to
do 'geeks with guns' on Thursday, especially if we scrounge up some
fully automatic weapons. I'll do some asking around and see if I can
get a couple of Uzi's.
