eth0 on irq9 ( this has to be the realtek card)

shows the realtek card and hard drive controler and a few others but no 3c509
anywere

Also this is not the only card I tried. As the second card I have tried dlink
pci (using via-rhine), ne2000 pci (kingston realtek card), smc pci (using
digital chipset), 3com isa (3c515tx), 3com isa (3c509), and right now there
is a smc isa card in the machine. I have a few others around here i could try
but It's getting rather discourageing.

I just switched back to the 3c509 to check but I get the same results as
listed above

the modules conf lists the 3com card as so:
alias eth1 3c509

There is no other mention of isa or the 3com card in the modules.conf
just stuff about parallel ports and pcmcia slots. Both of which are not on my
system. The parallel port is shut off just in case I was having irq problems
and the pcmcia is non existant as I don't have a laptop.

If I run ifconfig eth1 up it starts the 3com card. ifconfig then lists the
3com card as active. Also even though it is shown as active I can't ping
anything outside of the box, even using ip addresses.

When issuing this command I get:
!!! Parameter EthernetinterfacesList does not exist !!!

Other than this the install is nice One last thing would it be posible to put
mc in there by default it makes it allot eisier to get around. I installed it
from mandrake 8.0 and it sure helps allot when your at the prompt.
