I have managed to get RC1 up and running on an old iMac, far short of the
system requirements, but none-the-less a passable machine for a simple
firewall/NAT router with is my primary intention.
However, after configuring Bastille as on my x86 machine, the iMac gave
many iptables errors. Further attempts at getting any firewall rules to
work failed with ipchains claiming to be incompatible with this kernel and
iptables giving the following error:
"iptables v1.2.1: Can't initialize iptables table 'filter': Module is wrong
version
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded"
I am presuming therefore that an incompatible version of iptables (and
ipchains) has been included in the dist, but I am open to other
suggestions. Perhaps a kernel update in the final product?
