I'm not sure what that sites point is. At least it isn't very clear to
me after reading it.
However, IMHO Linux on the PPC's problem is a lack of polish and up to
dateness. Mandrake has made great strides in fixing this. It's still
not to the point where it's as easy to install as say Linux on i586.
However, Darwin would be starting from even further back than Linux. As
it stands now Linux on PPC has a fairly small user base. And Darwin has
even fewer users. The solution to polish and up to dateness is users
who are willing to spend the time testing, reporting problems and
helping fix them. IMHO Darwin is a long way from that as a separate OS.
I also don't think this projects goal is to help Linux but rather to
make a Darwin distribution that's more like a Linux distribution.
