Trying to install Mandrake 8.0 ppc on one of the new 867MHz G4's
and running into probs. The cd boots alright when I hold down the "C"
key, but I cannot seem to find a video setting that will work, damn
Nvidia to hell. I finally broke down and went with the text only
install only to hit a wall again. I get to the part where it asks me to
choose a hard drive, and I choose the 2nd harddrive, an emtpy 30GB
western digital (the MAC OS is still installed on the the first drive
without any changes). After I choose the drive, it gives me an error of
"Uh Oh, no root partion", and then locks up. What gives?! Any
suggestions on the video would be welcomed to (excepting getting a new
card, my boss would never agree to ante up for that). Thanks for the
help.
