Hello everybody,

so I managed to install Mandrake PPC 8.0. Works fine for me. The installer is
now working pretty well (thanks folks !). It seemed as though I had to set
the bootstrap as "active" ? Never mind.
JFYI, funny thing is, when I hit the boot option "l" at the yaboot prompt I
get an error: Welcome to yaboot version 0.9
Can't open device </pci/@d/pci-ata@1/ata-4@0/disk@1:0>
Can't open config file, err: -2

However, having set Linux as default boot, when I let the counter go through
it automatically boots *correctly* into Linux-Mandrake ! X loads well and
everything.

Now my question: I'm having trouble setting the keyboard layout. During
install I told the installer I wanted a German keyboard. After booting into
KDE I ended up with an American keyboard. I went to the Control Center and
put the keyboard to "German". Still no luck. I'm using English as the main
language in KDE etc. Is it possible that the language setting interferes with
the keyboard setting ?
Perhaps you can help me with that.
Thanks and congrats for this PPC Linux
-David
