No, you do not want to use Shrinkwrap. Not only is Shrinkwrap unable to mount or otherwise do something useful with the iso image, it may actually corrupt it for you.
The only things you need are "Shorten" (http://www.hornig.net/shorten.html) for verifying the md5sum (select "Make MD5..." from the file menu, tell it where to save the text file, the string of letters & numbers inside the file it creates should match those inside the text file found on the ftp server) and Toast. Toast should recognize the iso as a disk image when you drag and drop. Mounting the image with Toast may corrupt it (for burning a good cd that will install properly), however, if you get info on the image and mark it as locked before mounting, corruption may not be an issue (not verified, but seems logical). > From: Bob Mills <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2002 19:29:34 -0400 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: 8.2 beta, .iso's again > > I downloaded the 8.2 beta of mandrake off of an ftp this time > (fetch) but again the same problem, the file is > MandrakeLinux-8.2beta1-CD1.iso, but shrinkwrap won't recognize it as a > disk image... Shoulden't the .iso be recognized by shrinkwrap? > thanks, > Christie > _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
