Hello, On behalf of Apple customers who have recently purchased iBook and Powerbook laptops with the intention of running Linux on it, myself included, I would like to request that Conexant considers providing a software modem driver for Linux/PPC.
It is not necessary that this be fully open-sourced, as I understand there are IP issues, but something on the line of nVidia's semi-open kernel modules for both x86 and ppc Linux, with the interfaces to the kernel being made available and the main program itself being propietary.
