Neither do I ! :-) > You should be using something like: > hd:n,\\:tbxi > or > hd:n,\\yaboot > Where n is your boot strap in both cases. > > However, what you're doing might work but I think it'd probably look > more like: > hd:6,\\boot\vmlinuz-2.4.17-17mdk > > Unless of course you have a separate /boot partition that is hd:6 and > then it'd be: > hd:6,\\vmlinuz-2.4.17-17mdk > > However, I've never tried booting that way. Yep, but there is only a stupid problem with these lines of command on my iMac: before the Mandrake runs correctly, the keyboard is a US keyboard (qwerty I guess) and I have not succeeded in finding the \ on the azerty keyboard of this iMac. (I am comparing the Linux ppc distribution and I have met the same problem, with the YD: there seems to be no azerty keyboard file in their installation CD.. only a fl-latin1, which I hope is the nearest from the azerty... I know that France is a small country for Americans, but do not forget us!!! :-) ) Thanks a lot for your help... I will try again.. but do you think that the problem can come from the image iso? Best, Jo.
