I'm very sorry, I was a little impatient and I am just starting an other new
installation. I feel guilty because you are very fast to reply to me. I
apologize.

Yes, I remember well that I did that. I made first a /dev/hda5, / , for root,
and then a /boot on /dev/hda6 ... and /swap , /usr , /var , /home .

I apologize again, I cant do it now.
My iMac has a hard disk of 4Go, 64Mo Ram..
I guess that the swap partition must be 128Mo ... but if you can tell me in
two lines what partitions I have to make on this hard disk, I stop
immediately my tentatives, and I am waiting for your instructions for the
order and the details of the partitions.

I hope you excuse the "newbie" that I am.

Best,
Jo.

PS: I know that there is several ways to make this partitions, it depends on
what you wish. The best according to me is to get both performances and to be
able to keep the files of /home. But tell me what is the best in your opinion
please.
