I tried anything and everything again last night, including your 7600 suggestion. Still no joy. I decided to cross my eyes and work with the gui that I had. Still managed to format a partition I didn't want to. I couldn't make out the icons. I got as far as the actual installation of packages when I got a runtime error in the perl script. I couldn't read the error message because my eyes became uncrossed X-). I guess I'll wait until beta3. I'll keep my eyes out for it. Until then, I just want to say a general thanks to Stew who seems to be doing most of the support and work of the PPC port. PPC/Linux could use more folks like him. Cheers, Aaron
