This is not a slam in any way, but I think even Stew has indicated that 8.2Beta 2 is very close to what they'll be releasing as final.
Problems like her printer not getting picked up will still be there because the functionality of the installer is not going to change between now and final. At best, packages which have newer versions between now and final might be included. IMO it's not nearly ready for a final release because of the many problems, but I think others don't feel that way (and of course, it's not my decision anyway).
