pppoe on mandrake 9.1b2

I am having trouble making the pppoe connection at install time. it 
goes into hard lock as soon as i press ok... i have tried with both 
ethernet and adsl enabled as well as just adsl.

i am also unsure which usb driver to choose. i am on a ibook 2001
