Just to report my experiences with RC1, on my ibook rev 2.2 from November 2002. The gui install looks all messed up, with or without benh etc. About 30% of the text is readable, and up to 75% if you know what you're looking for. Otherwise if I install the benh kernal (I don't think the installer did when I used the gui-benh) and use the fbdev driver, things look good. Before I use the fbdev driver, the screen shows lines on the right side of each color change on the screen. The installer shows basically a more extreme version of the same thing. Other than that, my sound and wireless etc, is working.
