What driver did the install setup? BenH kernel is not installed by default unless you select it during install. I looked at substituting it if you booted BenH install, but all I managed to do was break the package selection altogether when I tried to do the substitution. I can probably substitute fbdev for the driver the installer sets up, as well as the installer.
