Hmmm.. this looks like a libc incompatibility. Try "ldconfig" to see if it solves the 
problem.
This will not cause any problems for the Web server, htmerge is a part of the ht://dig 
package,
the mini-search engine.

Are you using Mandrake 6, Cooker or Cassini? Could you send me the output of the "rpm 
-qa|grep
libc" command?
