ok, now could mail me:
% ls -lR /etc/local/cooker | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and also the /tmp/ddebug.log you get when installing: put it on a floppy
*before* starting installation (aka crashing):
% cd /tmp
% ls -l dd* # and note the size for use later
% mknod fd0
% dd if=ddebug.log of=fd0
then on an already installed computer:
% dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/tmp/ddebug.log fd=1 count=THESIZE
% mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /tmp/ddebug.log
