I went from the 75 dpi fonts to the 100 dpi fonts and had the following problem:
I went to run the game xkobo and now get:
$xkobo
X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
Serial number of failed request: 34683
Current serial number in output stream: 34697
Right before I changed to the 100dpi fonts I didn't have a problem. And if I
uninstall the 100 dpi fonts and install the 75 dpi fonts and restart the
Xserver I no longer have a problem.
On the same note. Is there an easy way to switch bewtween the 75 and 100 dpi
fonts? I did it the hard way by actually uninstalling one and restarting the
xserver. There has to be a better way but I couldn't find anyway. Also, is
there a way to build fonts of higher resolution? I am running at 1600x1200
resolution and it seems as though higher resolution than 100 would be nice.
Sorry for my gross font ignorance. If you could point me along I will try to
learn.
