I installed mandrake 7.0 on a system yesterday without a problem (but it was a slow install) and then installed slackware 7.0 on the same pc today......damn....slackware rocks. I am not saying mandrake is bad, I think both distros are good for different needs, but the slackware install was so damn fast it made mandrake seem like it takes forever to install. It took 45 minutes to install mandrake and about 10 to install slackware. (both were 'everything' installs on a 550mhz SMP machine) Are these typical results or unique to my setup?
