1. When I do a Developemental (or higher) type of install, I do not
get the nice mandrake graphics icon when the linux o/s is going thru the
startup sequence (dmessage). When I did the simple or default install
(my first install), it had this nice graphical icon at the top of the screen
(or along the top of the screen) while the linux o/s was loading up (and
showing ea. Execution statement). Im bummed. I liked the Graphical icon
at the top while its starting up! How do I get this going again?

2. When doing an Expert Install, the Plus sign next to each package
type (designating an expandable list) does not have a wide enough click
field. When click these, you can accidentally click the field causing it
to be selected for install.

3. When doing an Expert Install, after clicking the Plus sign next to
each package type and expanding the list, the fonts become doubled-over or
show a double-strike which causes the font to become blurred and barely
viewable while being displayed on the screen. This font syndrome only
occurs underneath the titles. The title stay readable.

4. When I made a mistake and wanted to format the /usr partition
(instead of not wanting to format it), I went back and found that I could
not format it. No matter, even if, I reselected its mount point. It only
showed a Format Selected Partitions prompt with NO other info on screen.
To resolve, reboot and re-enter the install process.

5. Get a Sorry, X11 Server lacks DPMS Support on startx. Using
fbserver as configured by install process. Re-ran the process via the
Desktop Drake Config and now I think the error is resolved.

6. When selecting Expert type of install, only a minimal amount of
packages show when getting to the advanced screen. This is great but how
about a button to select the defaulted packages which are installed in the
simplified installation. This way, us beginners will be able to choose
advanced and then choose a default button so that we can get all the
package selected for a normal install AND THEN be able to select our other
wanted additional packages. This way, we dont leave out netscape or
linuxconf, etc when using the Expert install. Great for REAL Experts
since it only show a minimal amount of packages.

Some additions Please!!!!
1. I got the usb kernel support by selecting custom install and
selecting developemental type of install. Found that the usb was within
my start services then. Where are the USB RPMs ??? Dont think you have
anything for vidcams or mice.
2. Since youve gotten this far on the Install Utility, how about
something that will configure SCSI Emulation for the kernel at install?
EIDE CD-R burners are pretty much mainstream!
