I have a pretty generic Dell Dimension XPS H233 (i.e. Pentium II) with an
IDE hard drive, and IDE CD-ROM, a SCSI CDR, and notably, an IDE zip disk.
When I boot off the Mandrake 7.0 CD and there is not a zip disk in the zip
drive, the install hangs, repeating the following message over and over
again:
hdb: lost interrupt
Putting a zip disk in the drive solves the problem, but this is definately
a pain, especially if you don't have one handy.
