h/w layout includes 2 cdroms:

        1) hp cd-rw IDE 7200i  (as /mnt/cdrom)
        2) teac SCSI 32x cd-rom  (as /mnt/cdrom2)

This is what was entered into the conf.modules file on clean install of mdk
7.0b:
(note: had to specify when installing by cd-rom the specifics of my scsi
adapter aha152x=0x340,11,7)

====start of conf.mod file======

alias scsi_hostadapter aha152x
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
pre-install plip modprobe parport_pc ; echo 7 > /proc/parport/0/irq
pre-install pcmcia_core /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia start
options aha152x aha152x=0x340,11,7
alias eth0 eepro100

====end of file=======

I still have to enter at the command prompt "modprobe scsi_hostadapter" to be
able to click on the cdrom icon (pertaining to my scsi cdrom) on the kde desktop
and veiw cdrom contents. Also, i had to create a cdrom icon for one of the
cdroms (/mnt/cdrom).

IDE SCSI Emulation shouldn't cause any conflicts w/ my newly added scsi plain
cdrom? Would like to add the following lines (since i have a hp 7200i
IDE cd-rw):

        alias scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi

This line i usually omit since i have no pcmia devices (desktop tyan tiger
1832dl mb):

         #pre-install pcmcia_core /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia start

This was one heck of an install. Are you sure lothar formats the hda4 (my /
partition) when it's checked on install? I know i specifically requested to
format...was keeping an eye on this.

Also, i'll include here, my nic card (intel ether 10/100tx) was not properly
set up w/i the install routine (as it stated and it's unusual, but maybe due to
conflicts with newly added scsi isa card). So, to resolve, i'm using linuxconf
but still fails to load "http" due to the hostname. Looks like it keeps adding
a "0" to the name w/i the "/etc/hosts" file:

888.888.888.888 (my ip#)        [My Name]  0

So instead of using linuxconf, edited manually and still doesn't load the httpd
because of the host name. (think i did this once to resolve but forgot).
anyways, an unusual install this time.
