In my heavily bastardized Mandrake 6.1 system, Gnome would execute
".gnomerc" in my home directory to start the gnome session, if it
existed. That was a good place to load .Xdefaults too.

~/.gnomerc does not seem to be executed anymore. Where in the Gnome/gdm
grand scheme of things does the user have a hook to run stuff that is X,
but should be run before his session starts, like "xrdb -merge <
~/.Xdefaults"?

Thanx,
b.
