i have currently 3 boxes up
node3 has the kernel source on it, and libbfd
node2 is a fresh install and does not for some reason have the
kernel sources installed. I took the defaults and did not increase the
size value box. I normally select them as one of my defaults.

the oxygen-2 cdrom is on /mnt/cdrom

when i try to install the kernel I get the libbfd dependacy problem

i checked on the other box with updatedb & locate, fed
 rpm -q whatprovides ...., & getting a null answer,
i asked on the list.

unfortunate Drakrpm or drakrpm doesn't exist on either box, kpackage does.
kpackage has a find facility, but as far as i can see it works with the
installed packages, and i don't really fancy querying every
un-installed/new package.

so does anyone just happen to know ?
