I had that problem a long time ago while building KDE source about a year ago. The
reaon it was happening was being in my kernel, I had set my processor to a Pentium
II class, when my system was a K6-300... I set it to Pentium level and I have never
seen those problems again! I now have a K6-2-300 and I still have it at Pentium
level...
