You have to uninstall XFree 3.3.6 then install 3.3.5. Then run the riva_install.
This works great for me accept the glx driver only gives me 23fps on Quake3 in
800x600:( I have a dual P3 500 and a Geforce running cooker. Can't wait for their
next release.
