Everything is completely up to date !
Complete re-install of Mandrake 6.1 (I hate it when that has to happen !)
KFM starts up, half way there !
I noticed that only KDE would not display True Type fonts. Netscape for example
was fine.

Today (1 Feb) installed new qt
KFM started displaying True Type Fonts !
But only medium and large characters. Set the font to small and KFM crashes,
and will not start up again. Wait a while and KDE will follow the same way. The
only way back is to install an earlier XFree86 and set the Font Size back to
Medium, then XFree86 3.3.5-17 works again.
However qt 1.44-19mdk breaks Kdevelop. All is going pear shaped around here !
