Do you think?  Do you think the resulting ipsec.o will be any different
(materially, I am not talking about size or anything) for kernel-fb than
it would be for kernel, or kernel-smp?  Perhaps maybe only
kernel-secure, but I doubt it would be different for that either. 
Granted I am using it against kernel-fb.

Perhaps the freeswan package could contain the ipsec.o from all the
different kernel packages and install, the proper ipsec.o when the
freeswan package is installed.

Really?  I was under the impression that the memory that initrd uses to
boot is given back when it is done.
