Since I stopped using Slackware oh so many years ago, I haven't used
one distribution with a good rescue disk using standard tools. I have
never checked out the Mandrake rescue disk either - mostly due to the
requirement of actually using a floppy.
What about providing a second iso-image that is a bootable system, for
rescue work. It could include all kinds of useful tools and not just
some weird special environment like the Redhat rescue (again, haven't
tried Mandrake's but Redhat's has always been completely useless).
Basically, put the best system recovery tools and also stuff like your
"favorite" editor like vim and emacs on a decently sized, bootable
ISO image.
Not only would it incredibly useful - I think it would be a great to
use when trying to convince people in upgrading to Mandrake.
What do you think?

Hey, what do you expect from a culture that *drives* on *parkways* and
*parks* on *driveways*?
