Okay ive done the following things which made it possible to install
Mandrake 7.0V2 on this machine using the HD-image install option.
(currently using msi 6167)
Still got the same error with this mainboard using a direct boot from cd or
using the cd-rom floppy's.

The V1.5 Bios of the msi 6167 does seem to be less buggy, mandrake see's
the full 128 mb.
I've hit some other problems now but i'll get to that in another post if i
cant solve it.
