This file is used to indicate the various media available, try with :

hdlist.cz2      Mandrake/RPMS   Installation CD
hdlist2.cz2     Mandrake/RPMS2  Extension CD

where each line is "<hdlist filename> <directory where RPMS are> <Medium name>
