Hello there,
there is still a problem contiuned from 7.0-2 on installation:
My computer has a AVM Fritz PCI ISDN Card and also a 3Com 905B nic. If I
select to set up the local network on installation both cards will not be
configured. The only solution ist to take out the AVM card, set up the nic
and network, shutdown and build in the AVM ISDN card and configure it with
kisdn.
On mandrake 7.1 it is nearly the same problem, but:
Installation works fine, nearly no problem in general (even XFree 4.0 with
my matrox G200 works) and doing the same proceedure as written above on
configurating AVM ISDN and starting the first try to connect to the world
wait web (WWW) kisdn display that the kernel is missing support for PPP!!!
Any try, any help???
Suggestions for mandrake 7.1:
1. include a light version of kisdn (I know kisdn is shareware)
2. wait until kernel 2.4.x is out
3. better printer drivers (for my enpson photo 700)
May the code be with you and good luck to all for ever better mandrakes
regards
