Some people told me that perhaps the CD-ROM drive can get slower by
using the SCSI emulation, but noone proved it (I think noone of these
people tested it), but as you say, at least for audio, the emulation is
even faster!
I think we need to do some tests of the data handling speed. Are there
any benchmark programs available for testing CD (or file system in
general) performance under Linux?
