Edit the 'pointer' section of /etc/XF86Config adding the lines:
        
        Buttons         3
        ZAxisMapping    4 5

Then comment out (with #) the lines that say:
        
        emulate3buttons
        emulate3timeout

add a copy of /etc/imwheelrc to your $user directory and a copy of
/usr/X11R6/bin/imwheel into your KDE autostart folder; then restart 'X'.

The last part (your autostart folder) assumes that you're using Mandrake
7.0; if you're using 7.1b you don't want to do that part.
