FYI, I've just installed latest cooker choosing "Francais" and
clicking on "Use Unicode by default", so that I get fr_FR.UTF-8.

After reboot, all is working correctly: KDE, perl-gtk2 apps,
konsole, and also xmms: if I create a directory which a french
accent, I can browse it under XMMS with no problem.

Argh, my last sentence was nonsense: we don't set UTF-8 depending
on the choice for "country", only if "lang" is an UTF8 locale, or
user chose multiple langs, and they use different encodings (as
you told me to do). Sorry for my mistake.

Hello,

I've just installed RC2. First I noticed that font in xmms (and other gtk1 apps)
is too big, second the file dialog was not able to browse dir tree correctly. On
the roght list, where should be only files, I got the entries like this:
../mp3/David Bowie - Lodger/01.mp3
along with the files from some othe directory I did not chose.
The files was placed on ntfs partition.
