Yes,
I was waiting for you to create the entry, just added my comments.
If you remove /usr/bin/mandrakegalaxy from the GNOME session start-up
programs, you should be able to use GNOME in vnc as I was able to do in
Xnest. This program actually starts a KDE dialog and is apparently the
only thing that prevent GNOME from starting.
PS: I am not sure an unconventional fluxbox bg is worth a bug entry.
