------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-11 03:54 -------
None of these options helped.
As dmesg shows it seems that APIC can not be turned off by the "noapic" kernel
option. Are there more options for APIC?

As already reported in bug#: 2525 for ML9.1 RC1 this bug is still valid in ML
9.1 RC2.
After trying the suggestions in bug#: 2525 I still can not connect to other
computers in the LAN. ifconfig shows me correctly the device and pinging the
device itself on the same box works out korrectly, but pinging another PC from
this box I get a: "ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted". Pinging the device
from other computers I get a "host not reachable".
The SIS900 network device is on motherboard: K7SOM+ with CPU AMD Athlon XP 2000.
Thanks for any help!
