Yes.  At first I thought it was Galaxy, because GNOME had trouble too.  This 
was only because the galaxy window that pops for new users is qt.  Once you 
prevent that from starting GNOME works fine.  It is definitely a problem with 
KDE and KDE apps, and perhaps as broad as all QT apps.
