Thanks, tried it but still doesn't work. /etc/sysconfig/usb appears OK:
MOUSE=yes
KEYBOARD=no
ZIP=no
I then performed a new install on another machine with the same USB mouse
and it works properly, guess it's a just a personal problem ; )
