------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-17 17:41 ------- I downloaded a network.img dated March 14, 2003. Assuming this has the latest kernel build, I can confirm that it does have the same problem. Hangs at the same place on boot. Additional info: I had originally stated that this problem didn't exist with Mandrake 8.2. I have just discovered that although kernel-2.4.18-6mdk, that was the default for Mandrake 8.2, works fine on this hardware. However, kernel-secure-2.4.18-6.mdk *does* have this problem. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEW creation_date: description: After pressing Enter to install, the installer hangs. If I hit F1 and use "text" to boot in text mode, the following are the last lines printed before it hangs: Checking for popad bug... OK. All other peripherals (video, network, audio, etc.) all are onboard. I can install Mandrake 8.2 fine. The 9.0 release has this problem. The 9.1 RC1 has this problem.
